About CABL

Community Action for Better Living Incorporated is an established community organisation with an extensive history of supporting and strengthening Sydney’s Inner West.

In 2023, we changed our name from Burwood Community Welfare Services (BCWS).

We offer integrated and complementary services that provide practical and emotional support to the disadvantaged, vulnerable and at-risk members of our community, including:

  • A wellbeing and support hub for Sydney’s Inner West

CABL is an incorporated charity registered with the ACNC and a tax deductible gift recipient.

We believe in the right of people to:

  • make choices in their own lives and maintain their independence
  • dignity, respect, privacy and confidentiality
  • be valued as individuals
  • access services on a non-discriminatory basis
  • access safe, accountable and responsive services.

Our Constitution was updated in September 2022.
